Avery Alex Beige is a biohacker, freelance web developer, and playwright based in New York City—their work is measured by its ability to do all three at once. An SFPC and website poetry fanatic, they design experimental theater and speculative digital experiences that interrogate how our technologies mediate intimacy, consent, and self-knowledge—all whilst having a pleasant enough time doing it. Depending on the context, they’re black, queer, and/or neurodivergent. They’re currently a research fellow of The Nonbinary Research Facility, a self-directed site of quantified self studies and biohacking experimentation. Alex is currently pursuing a part-time multimedia focus at The New School.

Eyebeam models a new approach to artist-led creation for the public good; we are a non-profit that provides significant professional support and money to exceptional artists for the realization of important ideas that wouldn’t exist otherwise. Nobody else is doing this.
