Federico Muelas is the Founder and Artistic Director of Blue Flower Studio and he has a strong combined background in Visual Arts and Art in Public Spaces with over ten years professional experience.
Federico Muelas was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1974 where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in 1999. In 2002 he acquire his Fine Arts Master Degree in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he currently holds a position as Professor of Physical Computing +Electronics and Group thesis Director in the Masters program.
From 1997 to the present his awarded work has been exhibited throughout Europe, Unites States, Scandinavia, Asia and South America, having being awarded a prestigious grant from the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in Computer Arts among others.
He has exhibited his work among other places at Ars Electronica (Linz), Stuttgart Filmwinter Festival (Germany), PS122 gallery (New York), Japan Media Festival (Japan), ARCO Art Fair (Madrid, Spain), Location One Gallery (New York), Cuban Digital Salon (Cuba), Electrohype (Malmo, Sweden), PikelACHE Festival (Helsinki, Finland), Detroit International Video Festival at MONA(Detroit), Katzen Arts Center (Massachusets), GF Contemporary Art Gallery (Santa Fe), Red Dot Fair (Miami), Metronom (Barcelona, Spain), Museum of Art of Bogota (Colombia), HOO Festival (Gijon, Spain), Hamptons Art Fair (New York).
