March 9, 2010. Homegrown Harvest: Britta Riley and Rebecca Bray tend to Brooklyn’s first window farm. This form of urban agriculture is catching on in cities around the world, as downtown farmers go online to share techniques for growing greens indoors.

 

I am getting ready for my first NYC runway show, the Fairytale Fashion Show, on Feb. 24th at Eyebeam. Over the next couple of weeks, I will be writing about some of the preparations, on CRAFT and here at Make: Online

 

After realizing that calculus and engineering weren’t exactly her style, Diana Eng decided to put her quantitative talents to work elsewhere: in the fashion industry.

 

Diana Eng (Project Runway, Season 2) will present her innovative educational project that teaches about math, science, and technology through fashion.

 

This is a screen shot taken one hour after the dealine today, when Windowfarms succeeded in reaching (and surpassing) its $25,000 goal on kickstarter, they now exist as a funded non-profit!

 

Kildall showed us his latest project “afterthought”, which I believe he is working on as one of Eyebeam’s resident artists.
