I was born and raised in New York City, and am currently a junior at Bard High School Early College on the Lower East Side. I am interested in film and I make shorts with my friends. I also play drums and record and produce music. During the residency I hope to explore and increase my knowledge of both mediums, while also learning how to make them interactive.

Bios are for squares, gosh.
I'm Jade.
I'm 16 years young.
The Enter Key is my best friend besides Caroline. I love them both equally.
Kinda.
I draw faces on inanimate objects, so when I yell at them I feel like they're actually listening to me and feels sorry that they burned my toast, or me rather.
I am a bear of very little brain, and long words bother me.

The final project for Digital Day Camp '09 took the form of a "Pop Up Party." What follows is a description of the process of the making of the DDC09 Pop Up Party.

Over the course of one week, DDC09 researched and explored the Highline – asking ourselves questions about what it once was, what it is now, who built it, for who – by interviewing people on it, and people who live and work nearby, including those who have never checked it out, and never plan to. We considered everything we had learned, and using all our skills and resources developed of the course of this summer, we decided to design a guerrilla, public intervention.

Luther Cherry is currently a Junior and cello major at LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and the Performing Arts. He participated in Eyebeam’s Digital Day Camp in the summer of 2009, and still can’t stop talking about it. Luther loves art and technology, and has found an interest in interacting with the public. He helped create a “Pop Up Party” under the Highline, and wants to create a trend of Pop Up Parties all over the country.

Luther loves fashion, and considers himself pretty fierce. He likes keeping everything neat and clean, and rearranges his room in every set up possible. Luther used to write for 9to5mac.com, but is now retired and writes reviews for High 5. He has an alternate persona, who goes by the name of Luther Yamaguchii. In his spare time he writes a fashion blog, LutherYamaguchii.wordpress.com, and makes bracelets out of various materials he finds around the town and his house.
