Eyebeam's UK-based curatorial research partner, CRUMB—the online resource for curators of media arts—have just launched three new books which collectively reference over 500 artists, curators, activists, writers, and theorists, including Eyebeam executive director Amanda McDonald Crowley and Eyebeam senior fellow Michael Mandiberg. Come for a nice cup of tea and a celebration with Beryl Graham, Sarah Cook from CRUMB, and other book contributors. Refreshments will be served.

With a special Holiday Hackshop spin, London artists Manu Luksch and Mukul Patel will launch their publication, AMBIENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS, which elucidates the work of Manu, Mukul and their collaborators, as part of the wave of critical art that has emerged alongside the rise of digital networks. The publication includes essays by Armin Medosch, Keiko Sei, Siraj Izhar. Following the launch, Mukul will also DJ for our Hackshop after-party.
Join us for a reception celebrating the release of New Media in the White Cube and Beyond: Curatorial Models for Digital Art (UC Press), edited by Christiane Paul, Whitney Museum Adjunct Curator of New Media Arts. Christiane, along with three of the book's contributing writers, Carol Stringari (Guggenheim Museum), Steve Dietz (01SJ), and Eyebeam research partner/alum Sarah Cook (CRUMB) will be in attendance. The reception also marks the closing of Eyebeam's Summer School inaugural Curatorial Masterclass.
