Stephen Abramson

CFO, New Line Cinema (1981 – 2008)

At the present time, Abramson’s professional focus involves developing financing structures for new media companies that create entertainment content directly for the web. As Chief Financial Officer for New Line Cinema, his experience included finance, business development, human resources, and information technology. 
He was responsible for completing numerous financing transactions including bank credit facilities, a $350 million motion picture slate financing, and structured film financings outside the United States. Additionally, he was instrumental in completing New Line’s initial public offering and also the subsequent acquisition of New Line by first Turner Broadcasting and then Time Warner.  Abramson also sits on the photography acquisition committees of two New York museums and collects contemporary art. He has an MBA from Cornell University and a BA from the University of Michigan.
