Postgravity Art :: Syntapiens by the Slovenian artist collaborative of Dragan Živadinov, Dunja Zupančič, and Miha Turšič performs the last six "Informances" of the 50 hour event and invites current Eyebeamers to participate.

In response, Jamie O'Shea, Scott Kildall, and Rashaad Newsome (with Kenya) have proposed interventions. Check the exhibition page for details.

Jamie O'Shea - Vertical Bed

2:30PM: Jamie O'Shea will get suited up and strapped into The Vertical Bed.

Scott Kildall - Space Age Love

3:30PM: Scott Kildall's Space Age Love is an auto-biographical performance in Second Life which portrays two astronauts floating without a sense of home.

Rashaad and Kenya

4:30PM: Rashaad Newsome and Kenya (Robinson) perform an audiovisual piece using Universal Access.

5:00PM: The final informance of the 50-hour event!

Computational Fashion

Computational Fashion in New York is an Eyebeam initiative bringing together artists, scientists, technologists and the fashion industry to explore possibilities at the convergence of fashion and creative technology. The lead consultant is Dr. Sabine Seymour, owner of Moondial and professor of Fashionable Technology at Parsons The New School for Design.The goal of the project is to support research, collaboration, and the presentation of experimental and cutting edge technology that can be applied to all aspects of the fashion industry. The project includes artist commissions, bi-monthly meetings and workshops, a toolkit on new techniques and materials, and a culminating symposium and exhibition of work developed over the course of the project.Four artist/scientist collaborations will be supported by the project, two a year.2012-3 Computational Fashion Fellows

Open(Art)

Open(Art) is a joint initiative launched by Eyebeam and Mozilla to support creativity at the intersection of art and the open web. It is a unique opportunity for artists and technologists to collaborate on new work that catalyzes creative participation on a global scale. Selected artists and technologists will develop projects that push the boundaries of online or networked culture and address contemporary social challenges, while contributing to the community of practice around creative code.Three Open(Art) Fellows were selected from an open call for proposals, and awarded a $15,000 production budget and resources to develop their projects, including desk space and access to design, research, and fabrication studios at Eyebeam’s New York location. Selected projects will be featured though public events taking place in 2013.
